New Shows Announced – February Edition

Here at PQA Venues we’ve started 2020 off with a bang, applications to perform are flying in and confirmations are flying out!

So, we are pleased to announce the first two shows performing at PQA Venues at EdFringe 2020: The Last Five Years and Craig’s Magic Show! We’re expecting a lot more shows to be announced over the following weeks so watch this space, but for now here’s what you can expect from our first shows.

The Last Five Years – 17th – 31st August @ 13:30, Q1

After a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018 and 2019, The Last Five Years returns! Written by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, this two-character musical tracks the emotional course of young love. Cathy is struggling to find work, Jamie is an aspiring author who’s offered an incredible book deal. Their paths begin to diverge, and the young lovers’ relationship begins to shift. This is an emotional and intimate musical. ‘The finale, Goodbye Until Tomorrow, is simply beautiful and follows you around for the remainder of the day’ (Fiona Orr, TheatreWeekly.com).

Craig’s Magic Show – 7th -29th August (not 12th or 19th) @ 20:00, Q1

Using only a deck of cards and a very talented toy rabbit, magician Craig Stephenson has dazzled audiences around the world with his exemplary sleight of hand skills combined with psychological misdirection and comedy. His previous shows at the Edinburgh Fringe became firm favourites with magic fans and his newest show promises audiences even more exciting magic, mind reading and lots of laughter. ‘An Edinburgh Fringe must-see show’ (FringeReview.ca).
